If I get injured in a Florida auto accident, but do not have insurance, can I still sue and recover for my injuries?

Yes. Even if you don’t have insurance if you’re injured by the negligence of another person you can sue and recover for those damages. In the state of Florida, you may actually be entitled to PIP coverage to pay for your medical bills. Even if you don’t have insurance, if you live with a resident relative that does have a vehicle, you can be covered by them. If not you may be covered by the host vehicle in which you’re riding in or if that won’t work potentially the vehicle of the third party that caused the accident.
