Do I have to give a recorded statement to the insurance company in a Florida auto accident case?

That depends on which insurance company it is. If the insurance company is the insurance company for the third party that injured you, you’re not required to give them a statement. In fact, it’s probably in your best interest not to do so. However, if it’s your insurance company that’s contacting you regarding the claim, you do have a duty of cooperation to give a statement to your insurance company.
