Is there a difference between uninsured motorist coverage and underinsured motorist coverage?
Yes, although the coverages are generally sold as one coverage. Uninsured motorist coverage is a coverage that pays for damages when you are injured by somebody who doesn’t have insurance. Under insured motorist coverage pays for damages when you’re injured by somebody who has insufficient coverage to pay for your damages.
