When should I get treatment after a car accident?

You should get treatment after a car accident as soon as possible. The reason being, the doctor can then document your injuries and correlate those injuries to the accident. It’s important to note that in the state of Florida, we’re a no fault state and we have what’s called PIP coverage. PIP coverage pays the first $10,000 of your medical bills. The issue is, if you don’t treat within 14 days of the date of the accident, under the PIP statute you won’t be able to utilize that coverage.
